SARFL/W SEASON BEGINS 26th APRIL
Australian Rules Football is a fast paced, fun, and skillful contact sport that incorporates kicking, tackling, handballing, and running. Known as Australian Football, AFL, Aussie Rules, or simply "footy", players kick through two large goalposts for points on an oval shaped field. AFL is explained in depth here. If you play Rugby, Gaelic, Football, American Football, or Basketball you’ll love Aussie Rules!
We train twice a week during the season (April - September): Mondays here at Glasgow Green ,Thursdays here at Cambuslang Rugby Club (our home ground). Training is 6:30 - 8pm both days, and involves kicking, drills, running, and general fitness - as well as good craic! We adjust our training for all skill levels, anyone can join - we'd love to see you! Keep an eye out on our training page or socials for updated information!
We are an inclusive club welcoming players of all skill levels - even if you've never played before! So whether you're an ex-pat, or just wanting to try a new and exciting sport, we'd love to see you!
